About Us
Our mission is to advocate for an enhanced quality of life for Duplin and Sampson County citizens with developmental disabilities; to increase community awareness of the unique worth of these individuals; to provide social and recreational activities for the developmentally disabled; and to serve as a support group for our residents and their families. Realistic goals are establised, according to the individual needs, abilities and desires of each resident and with their input.
We serve as a voice for the interests of the special populations in Duplin andSampson Counties. A client rights and governance committee assures that their needs are being met. We promote academics, good health, personal accomplishments, and community integration.
Several times a month, we sponsor social functions for our adult clients. These are gatherings where our clients enjoy eating out, dancing, or other forms of entertainment, education and/or recreation.
We have 4 group homes:
Garland Group Home-Female
Sampson Group Home-Male
Warsaw Group Home-Female
Magnolia Group Home-Male
WE WOULD LIKE YOUR SUPPORT!!!
You can provide financial support such as:
- tax deductible donations
- sponsorships
- raffle prize donations
- grant fundraising support/contributions
- commodities
Monetary donations provide many of the "extras" for our residents, especially those individuals who do not have family. Your monetary gift or gift card enables residents to obtain new clothes, a new winter coat, and personal grooming items. We have implemented a new program to improve the physical fitness of our residents. One of our goals is to invest in fitness equipment for each home as well as visiting local fitness centers for individualized fitness planning.
***For donations, please make check payable to Duplin-Sampson Group Homes, Inc. (Please write Fundraiser in memo).
